Series made in Marruecos 2000
With
the initiation of the new Millenium, Carlos
Páez Vilaró, gratified himself by
integrating his passion as ceramist with his
everlasting
love for Africa.
He molded his drawings and sketches in the
clay of the continent that had marked his
artist’s life.
He was able to fire pieces under the sun in
Marruecos, from drawings that he had created
under the sun in Punta Ballena. A mixture
between the blues of the Uruguayan sky and
the turquoises., yellows and pinks of the
sunset in the Sahara Desert.
